Scheinbar Unscheinbares ist Gegenstand der Fotografien von Yamamoto Masao; geläufige Motive wie Berge und Meer, Bäume und Tiere, Nebel, Stillleben, Waldwege und Wasserläufe im unschuldig unangetasteten Zustand. Von den schlichten Motiven aus beginnt das Prinzip zu arbeiten: Die Motive der Bilder sind nur vordergründig Naturlandschaften; übersetzt heißen sie Schlichtheit, Leben, Gelassenheit, Aufbruch oder Stille. Der Betrachter erlebt diese Gestimmtheit unmittelbar und erfährt die Natur als Seelenlandschaft.

It seems that nondescript things are the topic of the photographs by Yamamoto Masao; common theme like mountains and oceans, trees and animals, fog, still lifes, paths through the woods and rivers in an innocent untouched way. Based on the simple motives the principle starts to work: Only at the first sight the topics of the pictures are natural landscapes; in translation they mean plainness, life, calmness, departure or silence. The beholder experiences this kind of mood directly and senses nature as landscape of soul.
